While waiting for Rick to arrive, I thought I would try fishing for some rockfish.

It didn't.

It didn't "work" that is. Meaning I didn't catch any fish.

However, I learned that if the line weight gets lodged in the rocks on the bottom, and your line is high enough test strength, and you pull really hard on the pole - when the line finally breaks, it can shoot the top half of your sectional fishing rod flying halfway up the cliff behind you. Requiring some extensive rock climbing to retrieve it. I learn something new every trip.
