The plan was to leave by mid-morning and get Dad to Milwaukee with a few hours to spare. Wendy wanted us to be sure he could rest before Zach & Kristy's wedding rehearsal & dinner.

We're waiting.

We found a few more things that had to be done at the lake...

...left closer to noon, and that cut things a little closer than anticipated.

 

Shaving in the car while watching the Cubs knock off the Phillies on MLB.TV saved some time.

As it turned out, we pulled up to the hotel in time to switch drivers so Jeff and Robyn could get Dad to the church on time for the rehearsal. Barely.

OTOH Matt, Don and I had time to rest before the rehearsal dinner.

I love it when a plan comes together.
