MW Mobile Blog

For friends, family and the random search engine visitor. This blog started as an experiment in mobile blogging from my Palm TREO 600, 700, Prē, HTC Evo, Samsung 5, Pixel 3, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL. Now it serves as a simple repository of favorite activities. Expect bad golf, good fishing, great sailing, eating, drinking, adventure travel, occasional politics and anything else I find interesting along the way including, but not limited to, any of the labels listed here...

Of storms and cudaghi

big storm just missed us (again), but knocked over a nearby tree knocking out electricity for the lake. Grilled cuadghi and veggies in the last of the fading light.

Brian decided he wanted a turtle of his own.

Actually the great turtle hunter was working under contract to Poppa, who had posted a bounty on this beastie. Whitney is scored an assist on the capture.

Why did the turtle cross the road?

Snapper by the side of the road between camp and Gwinn. Some kids on bikes found it trying to cross m-35 and kept it busy until a DNR guy rescued it, carrying it by the tail to the swamp on the other side.

Bird spotting on the deck over lunch

Golden Eagle, black flycatcher, and red tail hawk.

Nevermind. There are still fish here.

Still in the bay.

Still no luck. Perhaps all the fish are gone?

In our bay.

No luck so far.

Clear and calm this morning...

... with a message from the top of the fifth Han emperors tomb mound.

Could get interesting tonight ...

Waiting for the light show I love the smell of ozone in the morning. It smells like ... victory.

Poppa and Brian fishing expedition

In the bay. All little.

Did he or didn't he?

Air temp is warm, but water is very, very cold. Brian talked me into this madness. But what did I do at the end of the dock? Answer in Brian's daily update.

M1 reassigned to Poppa for special project.

I could not assist as I was philosophically oppposed to this project.

Brian does some archeological and structural research.

He will be submitting a full report along with his e-mail daily update.

The world has been restored...

... to the natural order of things with everything in its proper place, now that the "coffee is the best by far" mug is back at the lake.
