Superbowl 50 Prognostication - Silicon Valley Edition

In case you have not heard, Superbowl 50 will be played today at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, new home of the Silicon Valley Vultures, recently relocated from San Francisco.

Despite the game being played in Santa Clara, almost all of the celebrations are taking place in San Francisco. This includes "Superbowl City" - a large corporate park that required closing several blocks of city streets and public transportation for several weeks. It also included a variety of large Superbowl 50 sculptures that were strategically erected at scenic sites all over the City. And immediately vandalized. Because San Francisco.

I had no intention of visiting Superbowl City, despite the allure of $8 Bud Lights. However,  we did enjoy watching Superbowl inspired Friday night fireworks over Coit Tower.


Finally, as per usual, I am determined to make a Superbowl Prediction:

Denver Broncos 24 - Carolina Panthers 23

I am making this selection because "Defense Wins Championships." and because "The Old Guy".

Before anyone makes any investment decisions based on these predictions, you should know that your mileage may vary, you should see a doctor if your erection lasts more than four hours, and past performance does not guarantee future results.

In this case, Denver's only hope is if my prediction directly contradicts prior results.  As motivation I will continue to post the above 2014 wager shaming photo until I actually get a Superbowl prediction right. I have to revert to the mean eventually. Right? Right?
