MW Mobile Blog

For friends, family and the random search engine visitor. This blog started as an experiment in mobile blogging from my Palm TREO 600, 700, Prē, HTC Evo, Samsung 5, Pixel 3, Pixel 6 Pro. Now it serves as a simple repository of favorite activities. Expect bad golf, good fishing, great sailing, eating, drinking, adventure travel, occasional politics and anything else I find interesting along the way including, but not limited to, any of the labels listed here...

Your "Watching Grass Grow" Update

It's actually starting to look like a lawn. Hard to believe that it was only two weeks ago that we were pushing dry dirt and picking rocks.

Moreover, the ferns are making a comeback on the north side.

I vote for not cutting the grass and letting the ferns reclaim that side.

UPDATE: In other news...

Our erosion silt barrier has been inspected and passed. We are good to go to pull the fence. I'm thinking the grass flags should also go, as the only place that grass is not growing is on the marked paths. They have served their purpose.

This project is officially done.

It's all rearranging furniture and fixing nits now.

I'd leave the path markers up for now. The grass is just getting started, I'd give it at least six weeks from seeding before the flags come down.
