Bob is on the 17th ladies tee
...but shooting back at the 16th green. It's all very confusing.

Somewhere well after the turn.
I am having trouble keeping up with the round. Back at the turn, these were the scores:
BP 45
MW 54
RE 57
MS 60
This the 15th - the beer hole. We teamed up to compete for the two extra beers. The Mikes lost to the non-Mikes. Bob and I tied with 6's, but SF Mike lost the beers for us as his 5 was not good enough to match up to Roy's bogey 4. Yes this was a par 3. Yes we are bad golfers.

can u spot the swing flaw?
Bob's tee shot on 9 - which was miraculously found deep in the woods on the right. Still, Bob recovered for a scrambling par.

bob's approach on 2

Au Revoir
Lexie is winging her way home. We had a great time with her here, and we'll miss her. We'll finish with a few more pics from the last week that somehow did not make it into the previous posts. In no particular order:
Fog over Alcatraz - a recurring theme (click image to enlarge)
Sigrid exposes Lexie to some art history and culture at the Gertrude Stein collection currently exhibited at SF MOMA
Sea Ranch Chapel
Moonlight at Sea Ranch
The last Sea Lion at Pier 39
Sigrid prepared a special last dinner together. Grilled marinated salmon, zucchini, and garlic mashed potatoes.Hopefully it will not be another 20 years before we see her again. In any case - she left her mark behind...

Checking out the harbor seals at Sea Ranch

Lexie wanted to see seals.
We saw many seals as well as other flora and fauna while hiking the Sea Ranch trails.

A commando roll under the fence and a rope climb down the hill
Not sure that Lexie understood that this was what we had in mind when we suggested exploring the tidal pools in the cove.

Gualala Estuary
Looks quit a bit different from my last visit - the river is now closed to the sea. We'll be kayaking in the river this afternoon.
UPDATE: Some pics from our kayaking adventure:

More pics and vid clips later.

Ferries and cable cars and antique trolleys
Continuing Lexie's San Francisco tour, today was an old-timey San Francisco travel day.
We started with a Cable Car ride to the Ferry Building which pre-dates the
Then a ferry across the bay to Sausalito.

After lunch at a bay side cafe, we take the ferry back, and catch the F-line to Fisherman's Wharf for some souvenir shopping and what many consider the epitome of California cuisine - an In-and-Out Burger. The San Francisco F-Line may be the most interesting public transit anywhere. All the trolleys on the F-Line are antique trolley cars from municipal railroads all over the world.

Appropriately, we are riding an antique Kansas City trolley.
