Tsunami hits San Francisco

I woke up this morning to the news out of Japan and heard that the remnant of the tsunami would be hitting SF a little after 8 AM. Drove out to a bluff-top outlook of the Golden Gate just to see if there was anything to see. Can't say the waves looked any different to me, but got some pretty pictures. Looks remarkably similar to any other 3 foot wave.

Is this it? My heart stopped beating today, about the tsunami that was supposed to hit San Francisco, where my daughter lives.

Don't worry. The only effect in the Bay Area appears to be in Santa Cruz where you have a very narrow shallow harbor that magnified the effect. The surge broke a few boats loose. If you don't have a boat in Santa Cruz, nothing to worry about.
