MW Mobile Blog

For friends, family and the random search engine visitor. This blog started as an experiment in mobile blogging from my Palm TREO 600, 700, Prē, HTC Evo, Samsung 5, Pixel 3, Pixel 6 Pro. Now it serves as a simple repository of favorite activities. Opening Day of the Bass Season

And right on schedule... The first bass of the season is a 15" keeper. Dad caught it on a popper and flyrod while fishing for bluegill in the bay right in front of camp.

We also caught a mess of bluegill. We'll keep the 10 biggest for a fish fry tonight.

Kind of an embarassment of riches.  I'll filet the bass for a future meal.

Yes, there are bass beds all over the bay. As you might expect with these conditions they are further out, but at a similar depth as previous years.
