At the Landsmen Dinner

Attended the annual Landsmen dinner, this year at the St. Francis Yacht Club. Cocktails, food, cigars, and politically incorrect jokes, it is a legacy from and a peek into a bygone era. This event was the first in its long history without San Francisco icon Nate Cohn, and much of the evening was dedicated to his memory. In this image Nate's memorial wreath is dropped from a yacht and taken out to sea while glasses are raised in his memory.

He was a good man a friend , he will be missed .
I just found out as I have moved out of the Bay Area but have enjoyed many dinners with his friends and learned of SF in a way not talked of in books.
