MW Mobile Blog

For friends, family and the random search engine visitor. This blog started as an experiment in mobile blogging from my Palm TREO 600, 700, Prē, HTC Evo, Samsung 5, Pixel 3, Pixel 6 Pro. Now it serves as a simple repository of favorite activities. Expect bad golf, good fishing, great sailing, eating, drinking, adventure travel, occasional politics and anything else I find interesting along the way including, but not limited to, any of the labels listed here...

The Day of Mass Tourism

Kyoto is a much bigger city than Kobe. There is much to see and do. We decide to take a bus tour of the city to cover as much ground as possible. The tour hits some of the most popular tourist sites for both domestic and international tourists. Translation - hordes of rampaging tourism.

Sigrid is a proponent of the "Neutron Bomb" school of photography - i.e. eliminate the people while photographing sites and structures of interest. Her skills were challenged in the mass tour sites visited this day. I thought it would be interesting to compare some her shots with my shots and video that capture the crowds.
